“Flying across Europe to spend the major part of the summer working in a company in Lithuania may not be the ideal plan for most but I was not entirely surprised when I found it to be an exceptional way to spend my time. Not only I got the opportunity to revisit one of my favorite countries in Europe but also I was able to do it while upgrading my skills and adding to my personal and professional experience. Also it must be said that it’s much easier to do it with the ELSA members supporting you and making sure the traineeship goes in the best way possible as they are also welcoming you in their country. ELSA provided me with all the assistance I needed and back at the office the environment was friendly and professional. During the Traineeship and while performing the tasks given I found a relaxed working environment where everyone did their best to include me as much as possible in the working routines. The tasks given at the host company were challenging and completely met my personal expectations. I got the opportunity to work with different and complex cases that covered different Law areas and Legal systems which gave me an amazing insight on different realities and several topics. These tasks allowed me to improve my English in a more technical way and pushed me to acquire research and translating skills that I didn’t have before. Overall I got what I wanted from this experience and more. I got to spend an amazing summer working with interesting people, living in a new city and making a lot of contacts in my field.”

"I've spent a one month in Kaunas as a trainee in a law firm by ELSA VDU STEP. It was a great experience and valuable opportunity for professional and personal enrichment. From the very beginning I have been involved in activities and in the tasks, it was always challenging and stimulating. The working environment was very positive. The trainer often organized a fun activities for us. Also, ELSA group helped me in everything I needed and they informed me about all events which they was organizing. Lithuania is a country which is worth to visit because it is a rich country for historical features and an artistic beauties. It is also a perfect place where young people can have a fun. The traineeship exceed all my expectation and I am sure that it will add a lot of value for my future career in a law. I think that there are only a pros to participate in a STEP programme."

“Lithuania is an extraordinary quiet country with a very civilized society. It is a country where rains quite often but you do not have a time to think about it because there are lots of interesting places, nice people to meet and you want to do more and more.

Talking about my works in all traineeship period in Vytautas Magnus University, I had to do 10-15 pages legal research in english about education and training of legal ethics. I have worked a lot in the University Library trying to find an useful information about it. From time to time I was contacting with professors who gave me a good advices. I was really enjoying my work environment.

In Lithuania I have learned a lot of Lithuanian words and sometimes when I said some Lithuanian words people thought that I was from Lithuania and I was always laughing about it. I have met a lot of new people and I have got a lot of new foreign friends. I must mention one thing that lithuanian are very warm, helpful and very supportive people. They really likes georgian people.

I truly recommend to all people not to miss this chance and participate in STEP programme in ELSA Lithuania. In my mind if you are the winner of STEP programme in ELSA Lithuania, it means that you are very lucky person.”
